Happy Sun Handmade Linocut Print

A counterweight to my moody moon this happy sun will be the perfect balance to brighten up your space. This print was made using 2 linocut blocks, I carved the top layer with the linework first, used that to register printing alignment with a second block and then carved the base color layers for the clouds and metallic sun. Once that was done I dove in on printing, Spent almost a whole day mixing and testing colors before beginning the edition. I had so much fun playing with all the colors that I left myself some color creativity for the actual edition, hand rolling and mixing slight variations on the sunset tints in the clouds. After about 10 days of drying I editioned the second layer with all the linework and also did some slight color variations here as well, so even though these babies are an edition they are all unique. The prints were put into the drying rack for another week or two and then each print was labeled and signed along the bottom of the print.
